Microsoft plans to gain bigger share of the HR market with Dynamics 365
- Microsoft is expanding its Dynamics brand to include more applications for human resources, reports Fortune.
- Dynamics 365 is a suite of applications much like the once standalone, but now bundled Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
- Microsoft plans to allow employees to use Dynamics 365 for direct-deposit services and keep track of other personal data and managers soon will be able to use the system to bring new hires onboard and offboard employees, reports Fortune.
Any software program or system that makes HR's recruitment, hiring, communicating and other functions easier is a plus. HRMS, for example, has made benefits administration far less cumbersome and time-consuming than in the past.
Microsoft's acquisition of LinkedIn gives the tech giant access to LinkedIn's massive membership roll which could lead to more sales opportunities for its products and services for end-users.
