Omnipresent is ushering in The Omnis Awards, an event series that celebrates the global heroes of remote work with six interactive virtual events over a six-week period, from November 4 to December 16. The heroes include employees and employers from countries like the U.K., Canada, France, and the U.S., who have adapted to the new normal of working remotely, as part of a global team.
"Between the pandemic, economic upheavals, and the Great Resignation, these last 20 months have been incredibly difficult for businesses," said Matthew Wilson, Omnipresent Co-Founder. "Companies looking to attract and retain a global talent pool can learn from the remote work environments Omni winners are providing. We are thrilled to celebrate these heroes of global remote work who are showcasing how they have evolved, learned and adapted to the current realities, and future, of work. The Omnis recognize their collective efforts and set new standards for leadership in remote employment."
The Omnis Awards Events
The award event series will not only recognize the winners of The Omnis in each category, but will also host a series of live presentations from industry experts to learn from exemplary leadership in a distributed workforce. Events are free to all working professionals, business owners, and leaders.
Chase Warrington, Head of Remote at Doist, a guest speaker and co-sponsor of the Outstanding Asynchronous & Hybrid Working award category, said, "Location independence and remote work seemed completely ridiculous to most employers up to a year ago, yet here we are with outstanding leaders in this space who are ensuring the remote future of work continues to become the rule, no longer the exception."
Additional guest speakers include Tushar Agarwal, Co-founder of Hubble; Pilar Orti, Director, Virtual Not Distant; Chris Dyer, Founder and CEO, PeopleG2; and Matt Buckland, Co-founder of DBR. The full list of speakers can be found at omnipresent.com/theomnis.
The Omnis award entries shared insights about how remote work helped their companies attract the best talent, grow the business globally, and empower their teams for the coming year and beyond. The Omnis accepted entries from employers located in any country, of any size, who have remote team members based in other countries.
The full program features interactive online events that spotlight remote work success stories and include discussion rooms and on-demand learning opportunities for global audiences. Each event celebrates one of the six different categories that reflect the stages of an employee lifecycle: Outstanding Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (November 4), Outstanding Learning & Development (November 11), Outstanding Culture & Communications (November 18), Outstanding Asynchronous & Hybrid Working (December 2), Outstanding Wellbeing & Benefits (December 9), and Outstanding Reward & Recognition (December 16).
Omni winners are setting new global standards for best practices in remote work. Designed for a virtual, global audience, The Omnis have something for everyone —whether you love a good panel discussion, are curious to learn who the winners are, or want to discuss ideas and insights with other remote champions.
