Bergmeyer, the award-winning Design Collaborative based in Boston and Los Angeles, announced key leadership and practice advancements for the 2022 year.
Highlighting the diversity of the organization’s talents and expertise, this year’s promotions recognize the people who have gone above and beyond throughout the course of the uniquely unpredictable 2021 year to assure Bergmeyer’s success within the design industry for years to come. These candidates best exemplify the unique and dynamic culture of the collaborative, as well as its shared organizational values, and its client-centered business model.
At the leadership level, Bergmeyer welcomed current Treasurer Brian Perlow (AIA, LEED AP) to its Principal tier.
“As a practitioner, Brian is laser-focused on business and design, actively leading several project teams, creating leadership pathways for his fellow colleagues, and unendingly dedicated to the client," said Mike Davis, President of Bergmeyer. "And as a person, Brian is a fearless but effective coach, candid and up-front but also fair and measured. His eyes are clearly on the horizon and he truly loves this firm. We are fortunate to have him as a colleague, a partner, and a Principal.”
Bergmeyer also welcomed three individuals to its Associate tier, a title given in recognition of contributions that benefit the entire organization and come with an invitation to become part of the company’s ownership structure.

Four candidates were also promoted to Design Practice Leader:
- Emily Bowers RDI, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate
- Hannah Friskey AIGA, Associate
- Jen Shiminsky AIA LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate
- JJ Nelson, Associate, Director of Brand Communications
In addition to key leadership advancements, Bergmeyer announced practice promotions, including:
- Christina Sandore, promoted to Senior Architect
- Dana Ruh Allied ASID, promoted to Senior Interior Designer
- Dan L'Esperance AIA promoted to Senior Architect
- Jennifer Robinson promoted to Senior Architectural Designer
- Lia Politakis promoted to Senior Architectural Designer
