MIRAMAR, Fla. – Tropical Financial Credit Union, one of the largest not-for-profit credit unions in South Florida, announced that Roberto Salamanca has been promoted to Vice President of IT.
Salamanca has been with the company for 19 years. Previous positions include: Business Analyst, Project Manager and Director of IT, where he was responsible for the execution of the IT strategy for TFCU. In his new role, Salamanca is responsible for the Information Technology vision and innovation for Tropical Financial. His experience will help him to plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the department.
“Roberto has been an integral part of Tropical Financial for nearly two decades,” said Rich Helber, president/CEO of Tropical Financial Credit Union. “His experience will help to establish innovative systems and enhance the overall information processing environment.”
Salamanca received his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and has a degree in Business Computer Programming and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
