Benefits broker extraordinaire Chad Schneider, a Chicago startup veteran, joins Jellyvision as its director of channel sales
CHICAGO – Jellyvision, makers of interactive benefits communication software ALEX, is thrilled to announce the hiring of Chad Schneider, its first-ever director of channel sales. Chad, a high-school arm wrestling champion, will lead Jellyvision’s expanding sales team on benefits broker relationships and channel growth strategy while flexing that championship arm of his.
More than 1,000 companies nationwide, with over 17 million employees in total, use ALEX to help their employees make better choices about their benefits, personal finance, and retirement options—many, with the help of brokers and benefit consultants. Nearly 100 brokerage firms, carriers, consultants, and third-party administrators use ALEX to win new business and retain existing customers by motivating millions of employees to make smarter decisions about their health plans, 401(k)s, HSAs, and more every year.
“Most brokers are running at full speed, jumping hurdles along the way, to keep up with their clients – and their clients' employees – confusion over health care benefits. That’s where Jellyvision comes in,” says Schneider. “Knowing we are positively impacting literally millions of lives makes this an extremely exciting opportunity to join this hardworking, fun, helpful and yes, goofy, team.”
Most recently, Chad served as chief sales officer at Code SixFour, a cloud-based consulting platform for benefit brokers. Previously, Chad was a pioneer of the broker strategy for Aflac, where he worked for 14 years (he still misses that duck, btw). Chad is also the co-president and co-founder of the newly-formed Downtown Chicago chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and is one of the founders and previous co-chair of NAHU's innovation arm, Vanguard Council.
“We know the pain that brokers and their clients’ feel when it comes to understanding benefits, which is why we’re building out a team to help focus on their needs,” said Jessica Hay, vice president of sales at Jellyvision. “I don’t know who’s luckier to have Chad as a resource (and friend): us or our brokers. I’d say both.”
