- Tracy Keogh, executive vice president of human resources at Hewlett-Packard Co., has been named the 2015 HR Executive of the Year by Human Reource Executive (HRE) magazine.
- In addition, HRE named several top HR executives to its 2015 HR Honor Roll, including Marcia J. Avedon, senior vice president of human resources, communications and corporate affairs at Ingersoll Rand; Joseph A. Bosch, executive vice president and CHRO at DirecTV; Sallie Larsen, managing director and chief human capital officer at LPL Financial; and Michelle Link, senior vice president of HR at PRA Group Inc.
- Keogh has been at the center of the company's ongoing transformation and its pending separation into two companies: HP Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
Dive Insight:
Since the Hewlett-Packard Co. separation was first announced in 2014, Keough has led the effort to keep employees informed about developments regarding the split, and has spearheaded a global organizational design-and-selection process to align the approximately 300,000 employees with the two new entities.
In addition, Keough has helped to build the boards of the two new organizations, aiding in the recruitment and selection of 13 new directors. She also helped to create the "The HP Way Now," a revamped take on "The HP Way," which has helped to increase the organization's employee-engagement numbers.
Keogh also launched "Shape the Strategy," a global initiative designed to overhaul HP's approach to all things HR, including talent development, compensation, staffing and culture.
