John Palumbo, CEO of HealthRight, said the acquisition will add the experience, knowledge and talents of the HealthNEXT team to his firm's expertise in telemedicine, consumer engagement and patient care management. "HealthNEXT's programs are extremely valuable and help unite and align employers, employees and provider networks in a common quest – putting health to work while lowering overall healthcare costs," he said.
Dr. Ray Fabius, co-founder and vice-chairman of Philadelphia-based HealthNEXT, said the unification of HealthNEXT and HealthRight will offer a unique combination of products and services to meet the goals of population health management. HealthNEXT has developed a Six Sigma approach to population health that breaks each constituent component of the employee healthcare experience into a series of data points that can be tracked over time.
