Tampa, Fla. – (February 7, 2018) – HR Florida State Council, the premier resource for best practices serving the public and HR professionals in the state of Florida, has announced Flo Rida – American rapper, singer and composer from Carol City, Florida – will perform at the council’s 40th annual conference and expo in August. The “Ruby Anniversary” event will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee from August 27-29.
As one of the largest human resources conferences in Florida attracting more than 2,000 HR professionals and vendors throughout the state and across the globe, Flo Rida – a multi-platinum selling musician – will perform live in concert on Tuesday night to top-off the 3-day event. Please note this concert is not open to the general public.
HR Florida Conference Director Jim Gallo, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, announced the entertainment news to the entire HR Florida State Council during the first business meeting of this year. Gallo stated that, "HR Florida is celebrating 40 years of providing the best HR content and networking opportunities for HR professionals pound for pound than any other like conference. This year we will be celebrating this accomplishment with thousands of HR professionals and vendors with a Florida born major recording artist.”
Over 2,400 attendees, including registrants from over 15 states across the U.S. and a number of different countries, attended the 2017 conference and expo. “The HR Florida State Council Conference & Expo is unlike any other HR-focused event in the state,” said HR Florida State Council President Lynnette Holsinger. “We are excited to have Flo Rida perform as a way to help celebrate our 40th anniversary, and as always, we look forward to hosting an overall incredible event for those who are able to join us.”
In addition to the concert on Tuesday evening, attendees will hear from Lou Holtz, Marlee Matlin and JR Martinez, and can expect to network, grow and learn more about the human resources industry during the conference. Most notably, HR professionals will have the opportunity to earn maximum credits for both the SHRM Competencies and HR Certification Institute Certifications.
