Tampa, Fla. – (June 19, 2017) – The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – the world’s largest HR professional society – recently awarded HR Florida State Council (HR Florida) its 2016 Platinum Excel Award. The award aligns individual chapters and state councils’ activities with SHRM’s aspirations for the human resources profession as well as recognizes accomplishments, and strategic activities and initiatives that enhance the industry.
“Advancing the human resources profession is at SHRM’s core, and HR Florida’s outstanding work this year contributed significantly to that mission,” said President and CEO of SHRM, Henry G. (Hank) Jackson. “Recipients of this honor are those who show a strong commitment to progressing the human resources field through service to the community, local networking and professional development activities.”
Numerous local chapters within HR Florida were also recognized with Platinum, Gold and Silver Excel Awards. Chapters that received a platinum honor include: SHRM Jacksonville, Greater Miami SHRM, Greater Orlando SHRM, HR Tampa, Greater Pensacola Chapter of SHRM, HR Association of Broward County, Sarasota Manatee HRA, Mid-Florida SHRM, North Central Florida SHRM, SHRM SWFL, South Brevard SHRM, Big Bend SHRM, Ocala HR Management Association, HR Collier, Lake-Sumter SHRM, Charlotte County SHRM, SHRM – Volusia/Flagler Chapter and the Florida Keys SRHM Chapter. Gold Excel Awards were given to the Space Coast HR Association and Bay County SHRM. Silver Excel Awards were given to HRM Association of Pam Beach County and the St. Lucie County HR Association.
